Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer with extensive experience in Ruby on Rails to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, evolving, developing, testing, and maintaining our web applications on both the backend and frontend, working with modern technologies and collaborating closely with other teams. If you have cloud experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and enjoy working with minimalist interfaces without using frontend frameworks like React, Vue, or Angular, this role is for you!

Responsibilities:

• Develop new features and improve existing ones in Ruby on Rails-based applications.
• Design and maintain database architectures and APIs.
• Build user interfaces with HTML5, CSS3, and plain JavaScript (without frameworks like React, Vue, or Angular).
• Optimize applications on both the backend and frontend to ensure high performance.
• Collaborate with other teams to implement technical solutions to business problems.
• Conduct unit and integration testing, and participate in code reviews to ensure quality.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other team members.
• Participate in strategic decision-making on software architecture and technologies.

Must-Have Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails. (MUST HAVE)
• Fluent Spanish, Advanced English (MUST HAVE)
• Living in Spain (MUST HAVE) Work can be remote, but we like to get together, 2 to 4 times a year. To have travel expenses under control, it is a mandatory requirement that you live somewhere in Spain.

Additional Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and plain JavaScript (without frontend frameworks).
• Experience with relational databases like MySQL.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) (infrastructure management, app deployment, cloud databases, etc.).
• Familiarity with version control tools like Git.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Ability to solve complex problems and provide efficient solutions.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Nice to Have Requirements:

• Knowledge of Docker and containers in GCP.
• Experience with microservices environments.
• Previous experience in technical leadership.
