From Barcelona to California. We are going to Silicon Valley!
It’s now a reality. On April 23rd, Checkealos will attend the Spring Immersion Program, an event held in Silicon Valley, California, and developed by Spain Tech Center (STC). This event will feature 9 other Spanish tech companies: Boardfy, Ecertic, JVSP, Last Mile Team, ShopAdvizor, Valeet, Wallbox, Wenalyze, and Woom. We have been selected by STC and will all attend with several common goals.
Checkealos in Silicon Valley
This event provides us with the opportunity to strengthen the Checkealos brand and the work we have been doing for the past 4 years on the West Coast of the USA, where we have programmed road shows with the support of venture capital and corporate funds in Silicon Valley. These road shows will aid in our expansion efforts in the USA, considering that in the second half of 2018, we will open a new Checkealos office in San Francisco, California.
The Spain Tech Center began in 2011, launched by ICEX Spain Export and Investment and Red.es. Thanks to this initiative, tech companies from our country have a unique opportunity to grow in the United States, offering much more than the market we already work in. The program we will attend from April 23rd to May 4th (Spring Immersion Programme) consists of several intensive days in specialized workshops, held alongside numerous renowned companies.
Strategic Collaborations and Growth Opportunities
Among these companies are market leaders like Apple. Through its UX Manager, Apple will help us develop our strategy and establish ourselves in the market. Many renowned companies that have previously attended Silicon Valley have been able to leverage this boost, such as Genera Games, a company we have worked with in the past and know well. Genera has successfully established itself in the market and, since its participation in the Spain Tech Center, has grown significantly to become a reference in the sector of Android and iOS video games.
Looking Forward to the Future
We are eager to start this new adventure, as it is an opportunity to continue developing Checkealos and marks the beginning of a new stage as exciting as the previous ones: the consolidation of expansion in the US market. In the past, the events we attended allowed us to grow and broaden our vision, and we expect no less from this one.
From MWC18 to Silicon Valley
All this was made possible thanks to the last event we participated in February, the 4YFN-MWC18 in Barcelona. We were present at the 4YFN pavilion and took the opportunity to showcase what we do. We successfully met the objectives we set before heading to Barcelona. During the 4 days we attended MWC18, we were present at our stand to present Checkealos to the attendees, some of them quite well-known, such as the Minister of Energy, Tourism, and Digital Agenda of Spain, Álvaro Nadal Belda. We had the opportunity to explain our business model and what we intend to do in the future.
The Landing of Checkealos in Silicon Valley
This new event provides us with the opportunity to firsthand explore the US market. Thanks to our new investor Shashank, a UX world guru, we will open a new office in Silicon Valley before the second half of 2018. This will be Checkealos’ first office in America and the fourth worldwide, serving to consolidate the expansion of recent years in this market.
We have already been mentioned in the media, especially online. We are generating a high impact thanks to this, and these media outlets have managed to capture the public’s attention. In their articles, they have started to share the experiences of the first days of the meeting. Our CEO, Alberto Morales, is sharing expectations about the program with the other selected companies and is beginning to present Checkealos to the attendees.
Here is an article related to what is happening these days, we highly recommend it!
Remember: One of the keys to success in international expansion is having a solid strategy that is adaptable to market changes.
I hope this article has been useful to you! Don’t miss the upcoming posts as we will continue to share more about our transoceanic adventure.
